The region's first-ever Ripley's Believe It or Not! 'odditorium' had a grand opening at the Global Village on Sunday. The attraction houses the world's weirdest and wackiest oddities.
The odditorium features unbelievable artefacts and showcases like the world's only fully wooden-built Ferrari that you can drive on water; the smallest assembly-line manufactured road-legal car ever made; a behemoth Megalodon shark jaw; and a large iron Gibeon meteorite from thousands of years ago.
Jim Pattison Jr. from Ripley Entertainment said: "Ripley's Believe It or Not! odditoriums have thrilled visitors the world over for 100 years. Dubai offers a plethora of world-class entertainment, which is why we believe Global Village and the city of Dubai to be the ideal location for Ripley Entertainment's first attraction in the region. We are certain people of the UAE will love the unique, bizarre and one-of-a-kind exhibits we have in store for them."
The attraction also features the first ever Khandora (traditional Arabic attire) in space, worn by the UAE astronaut, Hazzaa Almansoori, as well as his space patches and food.
Guests will have the opportunity to discover over 150 rare artefacts, unbelievable exhibits, wax figures of strange, unusual and historical people, interactive games, and a Vortex Tunnel.
