Sharjah - The Sharjah Light Festival will be held for 10 days, from February 4 to 13.

Children and adults alike gasped in wonder as the University buildings around them lit up in bright psychedelic colours and patterns.
Several 100 families belonging to different nationalities eagerly gathered at the Al Qasimiya University to witness the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of the spectacular Sharjah Light Festival.
The annual event draws several spectators, photography enthusiasts especially who come to witness changing colours and patterns on major landmarks in Sharjah.
Mohamed Faris (12), resident of Sharjah said: "I've seen the festival before and I've never missed a show to be honest. The effects are really beautiful and I love how they project the lights on buildings. I also enjoy taking pictures of the show."
Sreerag Ajay (32), resident of Dubai and photography enthusiast said: "I love taking pictures of the festival. It is truly beautiful... Some of my most favorite works are from the Light Festival."
For the next 10 days, the Sharjah Light Festival shows will be held every day from 6.30 pm to 11 pm on weekdays, and from 6.30 pm until 12 midnight during the weekends. The festival is expected to achieve 30 per cent increase in the number of visitors this year compared to the previous year.
