A police station has become the first government service centre in Dubai to receive a six-star rating. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today honoured the Al Muraqqabat Police Station for its service record during a ceremony held at the Za’abeel Palace.
Later, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid took to Twitter to highlight how the station is powered by artificial intelligence.
“It has completed more than 100,000 transactions and offers services in seven languages. It has achieved a satisfaction rate of 99.8 per cent from the public. Its response time to emergencies is only a minute and a half,” he tweeted. “This is Dubai, where you can compete only with yourself.”
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and thanked him for his continuous support that has enabled Dubai Police to maintain the highest levels of excellence.
Al Marri also said that the organisation seeks to implement innovative services and solutions that can help raise Dubai’s status as one of the world’s leading destinations.
After its inauguration by Sheikh Mohammed in November 2019, Al Muraqqabat Police Station became the first traditional police station to convert to a smart station. According to Brigadier Ali Ahmed Abdullah Ghanem, Director of the Al Muraqqabat Police Station, Dubai Police plans to transform all its police stations into smart stations, offering services 24/7 without human intervention.
The Al Muraqqabat Police Station, which offers 27 services, has increased security coverage in Al Muraqqabat area to 100 per cent, and achieved a response time of 1.5 minutes for emergencies. Over 100 delegations from across the world have visited the service centre to learn about its experiences.
The ceremony at Zabeel Palace was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
