Sharjah - Friends of Cancer Patients has urged the medical fraternity to join its sixth Pink Caravan Ride, a pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative taking place from March 7-17 across the country.

The country's leading cancer charity has reached out to the medical fraternity to join its annual cancer awareness campaign.
The Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP), urged doctors and nurses to join its sixth Pink Caravan Ride, a pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative taking place from March 7-17 across the country. or the first time this year electronic applications are also being accepted through its website, www.pinkcaravan.ae.
Registration runs from January 28 to February 11 and the requirements for doctors are that they practice general medicine, family medicine or radiology. It is also calling upon nurses and X-Ray technicians to join the cancer awareness programme.
"This year our slogan is 'Soldiers of Pink Hope', because without the support of our army of volunteers and partners, we would not be able to make the achievements we have so far," said Dr Sawsan Al Madhi, Director-General of the FoCP and Head of the Pink Caravan Medical and Awareness Committee.
