UAE: Shop shut after worker is seen cleaning his nails with fruit knife

Fujairah - A video of the worker went viral on social media.

The Fujairah Municipality has shut down an outlet after a viral video which showed a staff cleaning his nails using the same cutter that was used for cutting vegetables and fruits.

The municipality also imposed a hefty fine on the worker and suspended him.

The outlet is located at one of the traditional markets in the emirate, according to a senior official here.

Eng Mohamed Saif Al Afkham, Director of the Fujairah Municipality, said the inspection team rushed to the outlet when alerted about the incident.
