An average of 5,833 trees per month were planted in Dubai in the last two years, the Dubai Municipality has said. In a video shared by the Government of Dubai Media Office on Monday, the civic body's director-general, Dawood Al Hajiri said 140,000 trees were planted in the emirate in the past couple of years.
The municipality also uses "100 per cent artificial intelligence" in plant production, he stressed.
"We work to achieve agricultural sustainability ... as part of an approved strategy to increase green spaces in Dubai," he said.

The video shows how automated processes soil, pot and nurture plants and flowers at Al Warsan Nursery.
