His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted a powerful video, while His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces shared an emotional tribute.
Celebrated annually on Ramadan 19 - the death anniversary of the Founding Father - Zayed Humanitarian Day honours the legacy, values and principles of the late Sheikh Zayed and how he changed the lives of millions of people across the world.
Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum posted a moving video with a simple caption: "What would have Zayed done today?"
The clip chronicles how the country's leaders and residents have been working together to fight the spread of Covid-19 and lend a helping hand to those who need it most.
It shows how the country's leaders - including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai - have led these efforts from the front.
The video ended by saying that the late Founding Father would have been proud of his nation and people - because "they are doing exactly what he would have done".
Tweeting about how the ruler's life has inspired the nation, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said: "On Zayed Humanitarian Day, we revive our resolve to follow his path of compassion and benevolence. We draw from his legacy to amplify values of solidarity and harmony, especially during these circumstances."
