The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued an orange warning for rain on Tuesday, July 16.

The met cautioned against a decline in horizontal visibility until 8.00pm today.


Besides the convective clouds associated with rainfall, the weather department also cautioned against dust and sand brought about by winds that are expected to blow in the country until 8.00pm.

In a post on X, Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility due to the dusty conditions. Drivers are urged to follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

Earlier this afternoon, the weather department issued a yellow alert for rain.

Generally, the weather today will be fair to partly cloudy today and hazy at times. Temperatures can range between 24℃ and 48℃ in the internal areas.

It will be humid by night and Tuesday morning, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). There is a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal areas.

Light to moderate winds will blow, freshening at times, the weather department predicted. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate at times by Tuesday morning in the Oman Sea.
