An Arab worker allegedly murdered his roommate and poured poison in his mouth to hoodwink the authorities into believing that the victim had committed suicide. The Ras Al Khaimah Police, however, arrested the suspect within 24 hours after the crime was committed.
Brigadier Abdullah Ali Menakhas, director of the criminal investigation department (CID) of RAK Police, said the victim and the suspect used to fight very frequently.
On the day of the incident, as the victim was sleeping, the suspect hit him in the head with a "cutting tool", killing him instantly.
The case has been referred to court.
