Cooler days are here again in the UAE

Residents hoped for more as the country experienced scattered rains in different parts on Friday morning.
The relatively dark skies blanketing both Dubai and Abu Dhabi actually came as a welcome relief after Wednesday's sandstorm.
Dubai proved to be hardest hit by the typically European wintry weather, welcoming slightly more dramatic rain and thunder.
But it wasn't moans and groans coming from the residents. Instead, those living in Abu Dhabi were envious of Dubai's wetter than wet weather.
One resident told Khaleej Times that he felt underwhelmed and wished the capital received some of Dubai's lucky showers.
"I saw some drizzle at around 10am near Al Bateen and Ras Al Akhdar, but it quickly stopped," said the 29-year-old.
While most motorists welcomed the rain in Dubai with cheer, many had to bear with traffic snarls on the roads.
But that did little to break the mood. Some residents, including Praseetha Rajesh, ventured out on a drive to enjoy the rain and puddle-filled roads.
"I just couldn't sit at home seeing the awesome weather. My daughter had holiday due to Diwali and I took her out for a drive to enjoy the rain," he said.
Social media was abuzz with residents greeting the change in weather, too.
"...at last it's raining in Dubai," Nurallah Elsharif posted on Facebook.
Residents in many parts of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi settled for scattered drizzles, while heavy clouds in Abu Dhabi began to clear up during the afternoon.
The temperatures for the capital on Thursday was a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius, with an average of 30.8 and wind speed of 31.5 kilometers per hour.
Humidity levels showed 18 per cent lowest, 79 per cent highest and an average of 32 per cent.
The lowest temperature recorded in the country was 12.2 degree C in Jebel Al Jais mountain at 7.15am. The highest temperature of 34degree C was recorded at the Qasyoura area in Abu Dhabi at 1.15pm.
Clouds and high winds are predicted to continue throughout Friday and Saturday. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) in the UAE also predict cool temperatures and rough seas.
NCMS also warns that fresh winds may cause "some blowing dust, haze and poor visibility over some areas, especially exposed areas."
Motorists across the nation should therefore be cautious and vigilant while driving throughout the weekend, especially those who are commuting between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In Ras Al Khaimah, heavy to moderate showers lashed different parts of the emirate mainly at Shaam, Al Ghalila, Jess Mountain, Khat and Al Gheil areas.
Rain filled many of the valleys at the northern and southern mountainous areas of the emirate, according to UAE nationals and residents.
Mohammed Al Balochi, an Emirati youth, said the popular Jess Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah had turned into eye-catching water falls, and rocks fell on the road. "Everybody is so happy about and go out to enjoy the rain."
The RAK Police have, meanwhile, deployed more patrols to control traffic flow at the areas hit with the seasonal showers, and urged drivers to take due precautionary measures.
Warning, a police source said it is dangerous for people to go out in this unstable weather. "It is so risky to go out or drive under the heavy showers, thunder storm, and thunders."
The mountainous valleys are filled with rain water, he added. "The public are urged to avoid the valleys and slippery roads, and contact the central operations room in case of emergency."
