I am currently re-reading The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It is definitely one of those books that I would recommend everyone reads at least once in their lives. In it, Rhonda Byrne, the author of the book, cleverly explains the 'law of attraction' and how it affects our daily lives.
I think The Secret has truly changed my life and made me not only realise, but also accept that if you think about something, you tend to attract that thought and it eventually converts into reality. Since then, I have only been focused and inclined towards thinking positively and facing every challenge with an optimistic approach. Today, I am a general manager at one of the region's renowned furniture retailers. I have grown from strength to strength - and I would credit my success largely to what I've learned through this book.
Santiago from The Alchemist. His journey was full of surprises and challenges - the lessons he learnt from those situations are something I truly abide by. Observing, listening and being financially responsible are some of the key takeaways from this book.
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. The book talks about how, in the real world, we undervalue introverts. It also introduced us to some of the top introverts or rather 'shy' individuals who are now successful public speakers and businessmen.
"Rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness in our lives;
it's the process that teaches us the most about who we are" - Rising Strong by Brenè Brown.
