Residents in the capital city of Santiago reported feeling tremors
A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Maule, Chile on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (ESMC) said.
The quake was at a depth of 100km (62.14 miles), the EMSC said.
Residents in Chile's capital city Santiago reported feeling the tremors, with some saying there was "shaking".
Other local media outlets reported trees and household items swaying. No damage or injuries were reported.
