Dubai - Channel apologises after netizens condemn them for 'exploiting' contestant's feelings.

A Saudi game show contestant recently broke down on a live TV show after he was told the unfortunate news of his father passing away.
In a viral clip - from "Bedaya" TV channel - the young man, who was participating in a game show, can be seen overwhelmed with emotions and running around on the set after the host told him about his father's demise.
The contestant, Ibrahim Al Awad, collapsed shortly after.
The video has mostly received flak from Saudi netizens on Twitter, who said that the Saudi channel was 'expoliting' the feelings and emotions of contestants.
The channel has apologised, Al Arabiya reported.
Abdull Aziz Al Oraify, the channel's chairman of the board condemned the manner in which the news was broken to the contestant, adding that it was 'foolish' behaviour and unacceptable as people's feelings and emotions must be respected.
According to a statement issued by the channel, strict action was take against some employees by suspending them.
The channel condoled Al Awad over his father's death.
The statement added that the management had no direct knowledge of the situation nor permission was asked to telecast that part of the show, adding that when the administration saw the emotional scene during the broadcast, they stopped the programme for a commercial break.
It also pointed out that the matter will be further investigated to expose those involved.
