An American passenger is in dock in the United States for allegedly attacking a Muslim airline employee in New York's JFK Airport. He has been arrested by police for misconduct.
According to the Daily Mail, Robin Rhodes attacked Delta Airlines employee Rabeeya Khan, who was wearing a hijab while she was sitting in her office. Rhodes allegedly kicked the woman and shouted racial slurs and obscenities at her while he was waiting for a connecting flight. District attorney Richard Brown released a statement on the turn of events saying that Rhodes cursed at Khan for no reason at all.
When Khan asked Rhodes what she had done to him, Rhodes responded with "You did nothing" as he proceeded to attack Khan and kicked her in the leg.
Another person tried to intervene and stop the attack. Rhodes stopped his attack but he then proceeded to mock at Khan by kneeling down and bowing - trying to imitate how Muslims pray. He followed this up by shouting and explicitly saying "Trump is here now. He will get rid of all of you. You can ask Germany, Belgium and France about these kind of people. You see what happens."
Rhodes has been arrested and charged with assault, menacing, and harassment as hate crimes.
