As bizarre as it may sound, but two passengers and their pet dog slipped out of a moving plane through the emergency slide at New York’s at LaGuardia Airport leaving passengers and crew members in a state of shock.

According to a report in the New York Post, the duo managed to activate the emergency slide while the plane was taxiing on the runway and preparing for take off on Monday.


The passengers – a man and a woman – were on Delta Airlines' Flight 462 bound for Atlanta, a spokesperson for the airline said.

One of the passengers, Antonio Murdock, told told police after their arrest that it was his post-traumatic stress disorder that led him to commit the act.

Another passenger narrated the scene saying that he saw the pair and their dog change seats several times as the aircraft was preparing for take off. Murdock was standing up and ignored the crew warnings from the crew members to sit down.

"If I sit down, I'll freak out," the man allegedly told a flight attendant when he was asked to sit down.

Murdock and his partner Brianna Greco were charged with criminal trespass, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration.

The incident forced the plane to return to the gate, where the passengers got off and were put on other flights, accroding to the report.
