The Donald trumped Hillary yesterday, and the rest is history.
The world watched in shock and awe as over eight hours, Trump's Republican red spread across traditionally blue states and weaved a tangled web around Hillary's hopes of presidency.
What many people outside of the US (and quite a few within the country too) assumed was next to impossible became a distinct possibility once Trump won Florida - the state pundits said was critical to his survival.
But he didn't stop at that - angry white American males (and many women too) in the wild wild Midwest - or what Michael Moore referred to as "our Rust belt Brexit" - vented their anger by voting him in power.
Traditionally blue Democrat states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin turned red, apparently with the seething rage of the angry white voters across upper Midwest and South, denying Hillary the privilege of busting the glass ceiling for the country's top job.

She came close, though.
Global media was proven wrong, very wrong once again - Brexit was the last major occasion when exit polls and media were caught on the wrong side of public opinion.
But this time media took it personally.
