Ras Al Khaimah - It was touted as UAE's highest musical event
Devised by award-winning Czech musician and film composer, Michal Dvorák, the sold-out performance fused the Baroque masterpieces and compositions of Antonio Vivaldi with 3D visual effects and light shows, propelled by contemporary energy.
The first in a series of similar events organized by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority's (RAKTDA), guests enjoyed sunset drinks before being enthralled by the unique and dazzling live performance set at 1,600 metres above sea level.
"The sold-out event indicates that people in the UAE and outside have an appetite for these kind of events in the unique setting of Jebel Jais, the UAE's highest peak," commented Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA.
"This is the first of many such events to come to Jebel Jais. We chose Vivaldianno because it has a compelling story, steeped in history. We intend to bring events that resonate with deep history and culture - as that is one of the key pillars of our destination brand."
The dazzling live performance was attended by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and other dignitaries.
Vivaldianno - City of Mirrors assembled a large orchestra to cover classical and art-rock instrumentation on a specially-constructed mountain stage.
Featuring large-format projections in front of and behind the performance areas, the show boasted a complex and sophisticated light design utilising cutting-edge technologies to create an unequalled 3D musical experience.
The cast of renowned musicians from all over the world were supported by complex imagery and choreography, breathing new life and colour into masterpieces including The Four Seasons.
