MWL Secretary General stressed the need for unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians by opening all crossings
The trip is sponsored by the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) and organised in cooperation with the Australian Trade Council in Dubai and the UAE Embassy in Canberra, Australia.
Briefing the Press on the forthcoming trip, Dr Hanif Hassan Al Qassimi, Vice-President of Zayed University, said, this is the second international trip undertaken by the ZU business students, after Singapore last year.
"It is also important, because this is the first time a local government department has agreed to sponsor the entire two-week trip of the ZU students. It is a good initiative and we hope many more local departments and government organisations will support our future endeavours," he added.
The trip to Australia, he explained, seeks to develop the academic skills and cultural perspectives of the students. "The initiative comes as part of the university's academic and cultural strategy to develop the academic capabilities of the students as well as both interpersonal and communication skills."
The 10 students accompanied by two faculty members, will visit the eastern coast of Australia landing in Brisbane and travelling to Sydney and Melbourne.
