1,602 parking slots open along Dubai Water Canal

Dubai - Parking slots are opened on both sides of the Dubai Water Canal to ease the mobility of visitors

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened parking slots at both sides of the Dubai Water Canal to ease the mobility of visitors. They will also be able to use the multiple transit means deployed in the area, and pedestrian crossings in moving between the two shores of the canal.
Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA, said: "The RTA has provided 1,602 additional parking slots in several areas along the two sides of the canal. The 652 parking slots bearing the Code G were provided at the Business Bay district, and 628 parking slots were allocated beneath the bridge of Shaikh Zayed Road and at Al Safa Park, in addition to 322 parking slots within the Dubai Water Canal bearing the Code A.
"RTA allows the use of seasonal parking cards within the area of the Dubai Water Canal (Code A) whereas seasonal parking cards are not accepted for use in the parking lots of the Business Bay bearing Code G. The Dubai Water Canal is shaping into one of the popular tourist attractions for residents, visitors and tourists in Dubai," added bin Adai.
