Saqr Park in Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah - Three more parking lots to add 356 new parking spaces in the coming period.

The department of public works and services in Ras Al Khaimah has added 180 parking spaces at the Saqr public park at Al Daqdaqa area of the emirate.
Ahmed Hamad Al Shehi, manager of public services, said the department is planning to start work on three more parking lots so as to add 356 new parking spaces for the park visitors in the coming period.
"The move is meant to meet the pressing demand from national and foreign visitors of the park, mainly during holidays and weekends."
The department is planning to further develop the 28,000sqm major park - established in 1991 - and best use and increase the green areas therein to 95 per cent of the total area, he added.
"The Saqr public park is home to 2,929 mangrove trees, 315 bougainvillea trees, 60 palm trees, and 365 jasmine trees."
Few months back, the department maintained and installed 30 new toys. It also added 600 parking spaces for the park visitors who are now availing up to 1,300 parking spaces," Al Shehi said.
