45 Abu Dhabi police officers honoured

ABU DHABI — Major-General Saeed Obaid Al Mazroui, Deputy Commander in Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, decorated 45 officers from different police departments with the medals of long and loyal service.

They were included in the decree No. 219 for the year 2007 issued by the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a speech marking the occasion, he said such medals are given to those who have spared no efforts for ensuring security of our beloved country. He urged them to keep up the good work to support the journey of success in making the country one of the safest in the world. Al Mazroui praised the decorated officers and wished more success in their career.

The long service excellence medal is given to national officers and other ranks who are in service for 20 years in the field of security, while the loyal service medal is granted to those who have completed continuous 10 years in service.
