The workshop, organised by the Pakistan Association Dubai’s education committee, was conducted by Zeenat Lakhani, prominent educationist, based in the UAE, who has conducted these workshops for 10 years in Pakistan.
With practical exercises, teachers were told about positive ways to deal with students and how to engage them in classroom activities. Zeenat said that she would conduct more such workshops in the future.Samina Nasir, PAD’s education and personal development secretary said that they were conducting teachers’ workshops for the past three years. She appreciated the keen interest shown by the teachers in upgrading their skills.
The participating schools were Pakistan Community Welfare School, Musaffah, Abu Dhabi; Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed School, Abu Dhabi; His Highness Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum School, Dubai; Pakistan Education Academy, Dubai; Al Farooq School Dubai; and Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School, Ajman.
Zahid Tirmizi, Vice-President and Dr Faisal Ikram, General Secretary, of PAD, attended the certificate distribution ceremony.
