70 Muslim converts visit Ajman Museum

AJMAN - More than 70 European and Asian women tourists who arrived in the UAE recently converted to Islam last month, and converted to Islam last month, visited the Ajman Museum to learn about the history, culture and heritage of the UAE.

The visit was part of the tour programme that was organised by the New Muslim Section of the Dubai Auqaf and Islamic Affairs Department as part of it preaching campaign, which aims to correct misconceptions about Islam and spread Muslim teachings among the non-Muslim visitors to the UAE.

Ali Al Matroushi, Director of Ajman Museum, said that it is the duty of every Muslim to contribute in spreading Islamic preaching and support such organisations in the country. "It's our pleasure to welcome the new Muslim ladies and brief them about the UAE's heritage and culture which is a part of the Arab and Islamic civilisation," he said.

He added that the administration of the museum established a section to exhibit Islamic books that were translated into more than 99 languages for visitors from all over the world to learn about Islamic and Arab history and civilisation.

Mr Al Matroushi said that this effort was made to contribute to preaching which aims to correct misconceptions about Islam among the non-Muslims.
