The three-day event was inaugurated by Rajan John, Assistant Manager, UAE Exchange, in the presence of other noted personalities form the Malayalee community in the capital.

According to the organisers, Keralolsavam is organised to offer Abu Dhabi residents a chance to experience a fair share of the culture and cuisine of Kerala.

A host of cultural programmes including fun and skill games have been lined up to attract over 25,000 people. Cultural programmes will be held around three themes namely Dances of India, Music of India and Costumes of India.

Visitors can also indulge in festive shopping as some of the leading outlets like K.M. Trading, Lulu Centrer, etc. have put up their stalls at the Samajam Auditorium. One of the major attractions at the Keralolsavam is the ‘Thattukada’, a traditional restaurant that will offer a wide range of delicacies from Kerala. The medical stalls put up by Taha Medical Centre will offer medical check-ups for the visitors.

Daily lucky draws will also be held apart from a final grand draw on the last day. The lucky winner will walk away with 30 sovereigns of gold. Other prices include household Items, electronic goods etc.
