According to Al Ittihad newspaper, an abandoned suitcase was reported along the main road in Al Majaz area on Wednesday evening on February 7. The General Command of Sharjah Police were notified of the situation and immediately moved to the scene.
Upon arrival, the police cleared the area including all workers from shops and residents, cordoning off the area with the help of the "Anjad" police force. They directed people away from the area and after an hour of investigating the situation, it was found that the suitcase contained clothing. They were able to return the suitcase to its owner.
Police urged the public to report any suspicious activity and cooperate with the authorities if there is any cause for concern throughout, calling 901 or 999 for emergencies.
