Abu Dhabi Indian School not to increase fees

ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Indian School, which reopens for the new academic year today, has decided not to hike the fees this year as well.

"We work within a tight budget. We have not been increasing the fees for the last three years. Even when we increase, we have been doing it marginally so that it will not have any major impact on the parents. The management has not decided to increase the fees this year," school principal V. K. Mathu told Khaleej Times recently.

The 36-year old Indian school is one of the oldest schools in the area and has a combined student strength of about 5,000 in the KG, primary, upper primary, high and higher secondary sections.

The new academic year begins today.

"There will be renewed emphasis on academic and co-curricular activities this year as part of the ongoing programmes to improve the quality of education. These programmes have been designed in accordance with the measures being implemented by the rulers here to tone up the quality of education," Mathu said.
