The Abu Dhabi Police hosted a luncheon for a seven-year-old girl, Laila Al Houssani, who had earlier called the emergency number '999' inviting the police personnel to have lunch with her at her house. The police had then thanked the girl for her generous and kind gesture.
Later, Houssani received an invite from the Abu Dhabi Police to take part in the 'police friends' programme and visit the operations room that she had made call to earlier. This was done so the child could be apprised about the important tasks undertaken by the police team in the operations room. The police also hosted a lunch for the girl.

Brigadier Nasser Al Maskari, director of the operations department of the Abu Dhabi Police, emphasised that calls received at the operations room are crucial and not a single one is disregarded. He said priority is given to the most emergent and serious cases, which pertain to saving people's lives and dispatch help as fast as possible.
Al Maskari called on parents to keep a watch over their children and prevent them from tampering with phones, and educate them of the importance of the emergency police number '999' and civil defence number '997'.
