RAS AL KHAIMAH — A 25-year-old Syrian driver succumbed to his injuries yesterday after struggling for life for a day.
The trailer being driven by Hassan Ahmed Al Hussein on Sunday afternoon had overturned and caught fire after being involved in a collision with another trailer in the Al Jazeera area. He suffered serious head injuries and burns all over his body. The police rescued and admitted him to Saqr Hospital.
According to a senior officer from RAK Traffic Police, the accident was caused by a 37-year-old Jaffer Khan, an Afghan national, who was driving a heavily-loaded trailer and did not pay attention to the traffic flow when he entered the roundabout in the Al Jazeera area.
