A private college teacher on Saturday suffered serious injuries when two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle allegedly threw acid on her, police said.
The incident took place around 9am in the posh Arera Colony area in front of her house when she was on her way to her college, Habibganj Police Station In-charge, Ravindra Yadav said.
The accused have not been identified yet as one of the attackers had covered his face with a mask while the other one was wearing a burqa, he said.
The acid hurled on the teacher burnt her hand and waist causing severe injuries. Her face remained unaffected in the incident, the police official said.
The victim was admitted to a private hospital where her condition is reported to be stable.
A case has been registered against two unidentified accused under sections 326 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Hunt is on to nab the duo soon.
