ABU DHABI - Recognizing its excellent strategy execution and organizational performance management, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) was awarded the international prestigious Palladium Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame 2011 Award.
Delegation from ADFCA received the award in a ceremony held following the International Conference on Performance Management in London.
Al Shariqi said: “This award honours ADFCA’s constant pursuit of excellence since inception to optimize its strategy and overall performance. We at ADFCA are committed to actualizing the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and implementing the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, that focuses on skill and capability development through integrated and well-defined initiatives.”
Al Shariqi added: “Besides, winning this prestigious award came as a result of the direct supervision of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the ongoing and generous support from the Secretary-General of the Executive Council in developing corporate strategies and in implementing performance management systems in Abu Dhabi, as well as the extraordinary efforts in coordination with all units within ADFCA in the previous year.”
Khalifa Al Ali, Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Performance Management sector at ADFCA, said: “This award crowns ADFCA’s endevours and efforts to develop management systems based on performance, result-driven and centers on the corporate strategic plan as main measurements. In addition, ADFCA has geared up to link different department performances with tangible results of the overall corporate plan.”
“The Authority aspires to be the catalyst for government entities in strategy execution whilst helping spread the approach of adopting latest work methodologies to ensure experience exchange with various entities. ADFCA’s entitlement to the Palladium prestigious award will be announced in the Harvard periodic”, he added.
“Palladium Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame award for Executing Strategy” annual award covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It was established to appreciate organizations that implement the balanced performance management system. This system, that has strategy and excellence in performance in its core, was developed by Drs. Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton.
World-renowned professors and experts evaluate the award’s nominees according to a comprehensive study on the strategic and execution planning implementation.
ADFCA is the second government entity to win this award, following the Secretary-General of the Executive Council in 2010.
