Adnoc’s long-service staff honoured

ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has honoured its long-service employees in a grand award ceremony hosted by Yousef Omair bin Yousef, Secretary General of the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) and CEO of ADNOC.

The ceremony was held at the Abu Dhabi Hilton Hotel on Sunday. A total of 103 long service employees, some of whom witnessed the early days of the company, were given awards as a token of appreciation for their dedication.

In his speech, Mr Yousef said the employees were honoured for their dedication and contribution to the company's over the years.

"I am glad to have this opportunity again to congratulate those ADNOC employees being honoured today for their long service and loyalty to the company," he said in the speech delivered on his behalf by Abdullah Nasser Al Suwaidi, SPC Member, Deputy CEO and Exploration and Production Director.

"Recognising employees for their commitment and dedication is a very rewarding experience; not only for the honourees but also for the management and the company's staff as a whole. It sends a positive message that the company cares for the well-being of its workforce and appreciates their contribution to its development. It also fosters pride and strengthens the employees' sense of belonging to the company," said Mr Yousef.

He said ADNOC had constantly employed a strategy based on developing its workforce and creating a friendly multicultural working environment based on teamwork and mutual cooperation.

"Therefore, due to the wise directives and guidance of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May Almighty Allah rest his soul in peace, and as a result of relentless efforts of its employees, Adnoc has since its inception in 1971 steadily broadened its activities through its different subsidiaries in exploration and production, provision of support services to the oil and gas industry, oil refining and gas processing, chemicals and petrochemicals, maritime transportation and refined products and distribution, thus managing to become one of the world's leading oil companies producing over 2 million barrels of oil a day," he noted.

Mohammed Sahoo, General Manager of GASCO, delivered a speech on behalf of the honorees. Mr Suwaidi presented certificates to the honourees on behalf of ADNOC CEO.
