Aerial ballet through helicopter banners

Measuring 20m high and 50m long, the 1,000 sqm flag flown on Thursday was one of the largest UAE flags ever flown.

Aerogulf have entered into partnership with Skybanners International, owned by Brian Walker, who created the concept of gigantic helicopter banners for commercial advertising and over the past 15 years, his business Skybanners has become a leader in the world of aerial advertising.

Walker said he was proud to offer Skybanners’ service to UAE advertisers and event promoters, adding “Dubai likes to do things big, and so do we! It’s exciting to fly over such a spectacular city”.

Walker says Skybanners had undergone significant design changes over the years.

“Skybanners soar through the sky at over 40 knots, and we instruct the pilots how to make a display out it, so that we attract attention. It’s like aerial ballet in the sky,” he said.
