Speaking to Khaleej Times, Dr Zubair, who was on a short visit to Dubai, said: "Pakistan is being run according to a US-led agenda in which the Islamic system is being invaded." Dr Zubair also felt that it was a great tragedy that Muslims were now killing Muslims in today's world.
Commenting on the Wana operation in the tribal areas of Pakistan, Dr Zubair said that the army should not have been involved in such an operation as this has led to the tribal areas becoming enemies of the whole nation.
Speaking about the historical deal on LFO, Dr Zubair said that the country's issues cannot be compromised. Therefore, he said, it was compulsory for President Pervez Musharraf to either quit the presidency or resign from his position as the Chief of Army Staff before December 31, 2004.
"The president is taking decisions by himself which is affecting the economic conditions of the country," said Dr Zubair, adding that the Kashmir issue was also at stake because of these decisions.
"The people of Kashmir are waging a jihad against occupancy but are being labelled as terrorists," he said.
Talking about the recent initiative being taken on the Pakistan-India friendship, Dr Zubair said that though the friendship was good, arranging of dance shows was not the way to go about encouraging the friendship.
Dr Zubair also said that an International conference on Milad should also be held annually.
Dr Zubair is also an author who written about 20 books in Urdu on spiritual saints and also talked about modern cures for common problems.
