ABU DHABI - The National Aviation Company of India Limited (NACIL) will commence nonstop Air India Express flights to Tiruchirapally (Trichy) and Chennai every Thursday and Saturday from April 30.
Tiruchirapalli is located in central Tamil Nadu, a populous state in Southern India.
The B737-800 aircraft will have an all-economy configuration. The NACIL announced on Thursday that Flight IX614 on the Abu Dhabi/Tiruchirapally/Chennai route will depart Abu Dhabi International Airport at 6.20pm while the return flight IX613 on Chennai/Tiruchirapally/Abu Dhabi route will depart from Anna International Airport, Chennai at 12:50pm, via Tiruchirapally.
A special introductory one-way fare starting from Dh149 to Tiruchirapally and Dh99 to Chennai, excluding taxes, has already been introduced in the market to stimulate interest and passenger loads on the new flight.
With the introduction of flights to Tiruchirapally, National Aviation Company of India Limited which also operates Air India, will increase its services from Abu Dhabi/Al Ain to 30 frequencies per week.
