Younus Hassan K has been granted residency privileges for his contribution to the country's information and communication technology product trading segment.

Dubai - Younus Hassan K, chairman and managing director of Al Ershad Group, one of the pioneers of ICT product resellers, has been recently awarded the UAE Gold Card in Dubai.

Younus, an entrepreneur, settled in Dubai in 1994 and began his career as an IT sales professional. His drive to become a businessman led him to establish his first computer showroom in Abu Dhabi in 2002. Within a span of 18 years, moving from strength-to-strength, the company transformed into a mega IT retailer with 13 showrooms spread over the UAE and Bahrain. Broadband Computer and Hyperx Technology, both subsidiaries of the group, offer specialised product lines and services to cater to the multiple requirements of B2B, B2C, office and home automation, IT solutions, system integrators, etc. As a leading reseller, the group stocks and deals in all leading brands of notebooks, desktops, servers, printers, plotters, scanners, projectors, networking equipment, cables and accessories, security and surveillance equipment, etc.
In year 2016, the group started 'Genuine' brand for cable accessories and peripherals. With dedicated showrooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the brand is well-positioned in the ICT accessories segment. Currently, the brand is available in Bahrain and UAE markets and discussions are in advanced stage to launch the brand throughout GCC market in coming months. Recently the group has also stepped into the fast-growing gaming segment with a dedicated showroom for gaming consoles and exclusive distribution rights for GAME MAX products and accessories in the UAE. Sparkle Distribution, the group's new free zone entity to explore the advantages of vat-free export trading, focuses on distribution and export of ICT products to Africa, Europe, Middle East and India.
