Al Rawabi is a leading dairy company in the UAE and the largest of its kind by herd size and production in the country. They have been at the forefront of farming in the region since inception in 1989 when it began the operation with 500 cows. Now, with approximately 15,000 cows, a dairy plant, centre for feed production and a juice plant, Al Rawabi is the region's largest and best dairy producer.
They are ranked among the Arab world's strongest brands by Forbes. Apart from their strong presence in the UAE, they also distribute products to Oman and export products to Iraq, Jordan, Sudan and South Sudan.
Al Rawabi is well known for introducing innovative functional products that address consumer needs such as Super Milk, Vitamin D Milk and Nutreeboost, which are enriched with multivitamins and minerals that are designed to solve growing health concerns in the region.
Its Vitamin D milk is the first functional milk designed to address Vitamin D deficiency, which affects about 90 per cent of the UAE's population. Al Rawabi is also the first to offer 'Double cream milk' in the country, and has expanded its milk portfolio to offer three flavoured milk variants.
It is the first and only company in the region to have a dairy museum, showcasing historical industry artefacts from Europe and the GCC which is open to the public. Farm tours are organised for families and schools on a daily basis by the company.
Dr Ahmed El Tigani, CEO, says: "We have grown beyond just a dairy farm to a food company with multiple product portfolios. We will continue to add more products, and markets, every year. We will continue investing in research and innovation and produce superior quality products in terms of safety, taste and nutrition."
