Art Contest for Children on ‘Healthy Wetlands, Healthy People’

Two winning artworks will represent the UAE at the Convention on Wetlands to be held in the city of Changwon, South Korea from October 28 to November 4.

Explaining terms and conditions of the contest, Mohammed Abdul Rahman Hassan, Head of Marine Environment and Wildlife Section, said that each participant can submit only one art work.

Any medium like paint, crayon, pen, pencil etc can be used and the size of the art paper is maximum A3.

The name of the artist (age), and the title of the picture (in English) should be included.

The official added that after the conference, the art work will be the property of the Ministry of Environment in South Korea to be used in exhibitions for awareness about importance of wetlands.

The art work must be submitted not later than October 18 to Dubai Municipality, Environment Dept., Environment Education Section, P.O. Box: 67. Dubai, or delivered by hand to the Dubai Municipality main bldg. (A), 6th floor, Room No.25.
