Twenty camels - carrying the logos of the Key Sponsors of DSF 2004 - will represent various governments. They will be displayed across the city during DSF, at the end of which they will be auctioned. The proceeds from this auction will go to various charities and art associations in the UAE.
Ahmed AbdulKarim, Director of Public Parks and Horticulture Department at the Dubai Municipality and Head of the Entertainment Committee, Dubai Shopping Festival, said, "The Camel Caravan is a very unique and creative way to promote the Key Sponsors of DSF 2004.
"The camels have attractive art designs being done by a number of international artists, and their placing around the city will be decided in association with the Dubai Municipality. It will show that Dubai is sensitive towards art and culture, a positive attribute to be seen by our visitors and residents," he said.
'We will continue to closely monitor the situation in the region and amend our flight schedule accordingly,' flydubai spokesperson said
