Burj Khalifa’s viewing deck At the Top has increased the ticket prices for early purchase dated and timed general admission for adults from Dh100 to Dh125 and for children (aged between four and 12) from Dh75 to Dh95.

The ticket price for immediate entry remains the same, Dh400, for both adults and children. Both the ticket categories remain free for infants and children up to three-years-old.

A spokesperson for Emaar, the developer of the world’s tallest building, who answered questions from Khaleej Times, did not specify when exactly the new rates for the general admission tickets were implemented, but evidence seen by Khaleej Times suggests this has been the case since at least January.

The spokesperson stated that “regular tickets now allow visitors with the added benefit of using the Viewfinders at no additional charge”.

Viewfinders are the special telescopes that provide virtual time-travel visions of the scenes beyond and below the observation deck on the 124th floor of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. It is understood that viewing time per visitor was restricted earlier when visitors had to purchase separate cards to operate the Viewfinders — a fee that has now been removed.

Khaleej Times also found that some ticketing and bookselling websites were offering tickets to At the Top at Dh150 for adults and Dh100 for children, making a profit on sales.

When asked about this, the spokesperson stated: “Tickets for At the Top, Burj Khalifa can be purchased from the At the Top, Burj Khalifa website or at the ticket counter. Alternatively, visitors can purchase their tickets through authorised travel and trade partners, which are offered as part of the city’s tour packages.”

The spokesperson described Burj Khalifa as a “must-see attraction” that offered breathtaking views.

“Since its launch, At the Top, Burj Khalifa continues to record robust interest from residents, and visitors reflective of Dubai’s tourist demographics.”
