"The awards will be granted by private and public organisations and institutions for the best teacher and inspector of English language in the UAE and Gulf countries," said Dr Maher Bahloul, programme coordinator at AUS.

He said that directors of educational zones in the UAE and other Gulf countries will nominate the most outstanding teachers and inspectors for the Teaching Excellence Scholarship Award (Tesa) and the Supervising Excellence Scholarship Award (Sesa). Likewise, English departments, educational zones, colleges, universities, governments and private institutions outside the Gulf countries will nominate the best English teachers for the Teaching Excellence International Scholarship Award (Teisa) and the Supervising Excellence International Scholarship Award (Seisa).

In addition, the award programme offers a monthly payment arrangement plan for potential full-time and part-time students, he said.

Accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and organised by the College of Arts and Sciences, MA TESOL is another step forward to enhance higher education in the field of teaching English as Second Language (ESL).
