Ayyan could not be indicted in currency case

Model Ayyan Ali could not be indicted on Monday in the currency smuggling case Customs Court judge Rana Aftab had proceeded on leave.
Ayyan appeared before duty judge of banking court Sabir Sultan, but no progress could be made in the case and the hearing was adjourned till October 8.
The hearing in the FIA's plea seeking registration of new case of money laundering against Ayyan was also put off till October 8.
Talking to the media on the court premises, Ayyan said that she remained in jail for four months and was appearing in the court on every hearing. "I will prove my innocence in the court," she said, adding, that the case was subjudice, therefore, she could not talk to the media in this connection.
