Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has announced that it will be collaborating with MasterCard and NEC payments on an innovative project to expand its Sadeem fuel card programme.
Bapco is working with its selected partners to enable its Sadeem customers to use their cards outside of the service station network, allowing them to make simple, safe and secure purchase at qualified merchant locations around the world.
The initiative highlights Bapco's commitment to better serve its customers whilst improving efficiency and customer convenience across its field of operations.
Explaining the initiative, Bapco chief executive officer Dr Pete Bartlett said: "The alliances that we have formed will enable Bapco to respond to its local customer's changing needs in a more dynamic way."
"The innovative technology solution delivered by NEC Payments will create an opportunity to power new product features, and the strategy of co-branding with MasterCard will significantly broaden our payments capabilities and reach", he added.
Roads inspections at Diyar Al Muharraq
Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the leading urban developers in Bahrain, received a delegation from the Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Interior Traffic Directorate, at one of its key construction sites to inspect the ongoing work on September 16.
The chief executive officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, Dr Maher Al Shaer, welcomed the visiting team which comprised Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, director-general of traffic directorate, Colonel Ali Mohammed Al Noaimi, director of operations at the directorate and Kadhim Abdul Latif, director of roads planning at the ministry of works.
Officials from Diyar Al Muharraq accompanied the delegation on a tour to the project's site and briefed them about the progress of all works related to roads network leading to Dragon City and the residential areas which will be officially inaugurated in December 2015.
Six hours of Bahrain tickets now available online
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has announced that tickets can now be purchased online for the upcoming FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain.
The endurance racing spectacle is scheduled to take place on November 20 and 21 at BIC in Sakhir. It will be the eighth and final round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season.

VIVA successfully hosts 2015 'Fanta Gaming Masters'
