Members of the delegation included Lieutenant Colonel Sinan Al Dosari, Director of Licensing Affairs Dept at the Ministry of Interior and Lieutenant Nawaf Naji Al Hashel, Officer at Operations and Traffic Control Dept, Ministry of Interior in Bahrain.
The meeting was attended by senior RTA officials, including Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, CEO of Public Transport Agency, Ammar bin Tamim, Acting CEO of Dubai Taxi Agency and Director of Fleet Affairs Department and Jamal Al Suwedi, Director of Resources and Corporate Support at the Agency.
“Dubai Taxi Agency has been established in order to provide effective and integrated transport system. The agency seeks to develop better solutions to upgrade and expand services provided to the public and contribute to easing traffic bottlenecks through preparing long-term strategic plans and proceeding with the implementation of the existing projects,” said Ammar Tamim.
He added that Dubai Taxi Agency was making efforts to upgrade the level of services provided to the public through adopting best practices and solutions as well as developing business conduct and keeping abreast of global developments.
Ussama Abdullah Al Absi, Executive Vice President of the Economic Development Board in Bahrain, said, “The visit focuses on maximising the benefits of the advanced expertise of Dubai Taxi Agency and modern technologies applied in conducting its business so that they may be applied in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We have also discussed exchanging of expertise between the two sides.”
The Bahraini delegation also reviewed the roles of Reservation and Distribution Section and Training Centre at Dubai Taxi Agency.
The delegation also visited the Drivers’ Welfare Section, where they hailed the efforts made by employees of the Agency to provide best services to passengers through applying highest standards in this regard.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations and means of boosting them as well as making use of the advanced experience of the RTA.
