Ban on Indian eggs and poultry lifted

ABU DHABI — The UAE has lifted a ban slapped on Indian table eggs. The Minister of Environment and Water, Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, has issued an order lifting the ban imposed on import of live birds and poultry products from India and other countries hit bird flu.

The ministry’s decision to lift the ban was based on information from the World Organisation for Animal Health which gave India a clean sheet as a result of safety measures taken by New Delhi to get bird flu under total control.
