Bill Clinton all praise for Youth Arab Leaders

DUBAI — Former US president Bill Clinton has praised the efforts of Young Arab Leaders (Yal) as regards catalysing the role of the youth in leading society.

"The youth are the main drivers for change and progress," said Clinton during a meeting with the members of Yal, UAE Chapter held here recently. Clinton had expressed a special interest in meeting the members of the organisation who represent Arab leaders from diverse fields. The meeting was attended by Saeed Al Muntafiq, Chairman of the UAE Chapter, UAE taskforce and Yal members.

Saeed Al Muntafiq said: "Bill Clinton is considered one of the most prominent international figures who has contributed to the process of global development. He is renowned for his active participation and presence at the international level aimed at helping to deal with issues of development on the economic, social and political fronts."

During the meeting, members of the Yal, UAE Chapter exchanged views on a number of issues, shared their vision for the future, and discussed the part they are looking forward to playing in leading the ongoing development process.
