Following on from the success of the first restaurant in Wasl Square, Pantry Café has announced that they will be opening another branch at Bay Square in Business Bay.

The restaurant will have its own wood-fire oven for fresh pizzas, a large selection of salads and sandwiches, an international breakfast menu and an all-day dining menu that any food fanatic will devour. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has announced details of its new Ottoman inspired afternoon tea menus in partnership with Eric Lanlard.

The master pâtissier, author and TV star worked closely with the culinary team at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray to design the ‘Orange Blossom Financier’, a special cake developed exclusively for the new Ottoman Afternoon Tea menu that re-launched alongside a traditional English Afternoon Tea Menu in Sultan’s Lounge, the hotel’s lobby lounge.

Time to Ketchup

The UAE version of popular Hollywood 50s diner, Ketchup (part owned by Jobs star Ashton Kutcher), is set to pop up in Downtown Dubai next week. The eatery offers classic American cuisine such as the hamburger – The New Yorker, a USDA approved beef burger that is cooked daily, ensuring the freshest of tastes. Another favourite is the 14oz prime rib eye steak, served on the bone for maximum flavour. For those with a sweet tooth, Ketchup offers a selection of rich desserts, including the indulgent key lime pie or New York baked cheesecake.

To celebrate this new opening, the team have launched a competition. Called ‘Eat One Kilo in Eight Minutes’ the contest will take place between midday and 11pm every Saturday in September. Guests are invited to eat the infamous ‘Stack Burger’; 700 grams of pure USDA approved beef and accompanying fries – all within eight minutes. Winners of the challenge will receive a Dhs200 voucher and their name in the Ketchup Hall of Fame.
