DUBAI — Most government boys’ schools under the various education zones across the country reported absence of students on Monday when the schools reopened after the Eid holidays.
However, the teaching and non-teaching staff reported for duty on time, sources from the Dubai, Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah education zones said.
The girls’ schools, on the other hand, reported normal attendance on the day after the Eid break, they added.
Officials and school authorities said parents are responsible for the absence of their wards.
