Being organised by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in association with Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, the exhibition runs until January 6, 2011.

The exhibition is showcasing about 250 works of art by 58 artists from different schools of art, in addition to works by last century’s greatest artists most representative of the Brazilian spirit. Exhibited pieces abound in the colors, imagination, scents, flora and animals evocative of Brazil, and reflect Brazilian passion for football, dancing and living a joyful life.

The exhibition aims to introduce the wider public in Dubai to Brazilian art, a country whose name is often only associated with football or the Samba. Many aspects of this continent are still unknown. Eight of the participating artists enjoy a world-wide reputation; and many artists have been influenced by international schools of art and have incorporated these into Brazilian art.
