Sharjah Police have warned motorists to drive carefully, and within speed limits, especially around Iftar and Suhoor time during the holy month of Ramadan.
The warning comes after the speed radars caught several vehicles speeding around Iftar time.
Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Mohammed Khater, Director of Traffic Awareness at Sharjah Police, asked drivers to be especially careful when driving in the internal roads, which are usually crowded with pedestrians, and worshippers making their way to mosques.
Two case of speeding that stood out were that of car that was captured driving at 231.6kmph before Suhoor time, while another was caught travelling at 214.7kmph just before Iftar.
