Taking place from August 13 to 31, this charity photography exhibition will feature the works of eight members of MOBIPIXUAE, a UAE based movement dedicated to promoting creative mobile photography. The exhibition will also feature some amazing contributions of the young talents of 100CAMERAS, a charity dedicated to empowering children to create tangible change in their communities by teaching them to capture their lives through photography.

The opening night of the exhibition will feature a special screening of a short film and a presentation by the founder of MOBIPIXUAE, Reem Saeed.

Maraya Art Centre manager Giuseppe Moscatello said: “We are very excited to be welcoming MOBIPIXUAE and 100CAMERAS to Sharjah. At Maraya we believe strongly in the power of art to make a real and positive change in people’s lives, especially in the lives of the younger generation, and this exhibition is an excellent example of the power of that change. We urge everyone to come here to experience this powerful display of images and contribute to the empowerment of 100CAMERAS brave and talented young photographers.”

The exhibition will feature photographs taken by 100CAMERAS’ photographers from South Sudan, Cuba and India. All prints will be available for sale, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to 100CAMERAS. These proceeds will be given to the photographers’ families.
